The Suffering in Ghaza, Palestine

It's summers. While you are sunbathing, the Palestinians bathe in their own blood.

What was the crime of Muhammad Abu Khdeir? He didn’t do any harm to the three Israeli teens. He was killed in the name of one word – Retaliation. Killing is rather a weak word, he was kidnapped and burnt alive. 6 Israelis confessed to this heinous crime, enraging Palestinians. As if the brutality wasn’t enough, Tareq Abu Khdeir was beaten by Israeli police at his slain cousin Muhammad’s  funeral. Excuses and reasoning followed.

Death curses were hurled at the Palestinians by Israeli hardliners in demonstrations when the bodies of their three youngsters were found.
Needless to say, no evidence suggests the involvement of Palestinians, but Israel has done well to throw all the blame on Hamas. Hamas the militia, Hamas the terrorists, Hamas the extremists. This is probably just another excuse by the Israeli authorities to spill blood.

The military offensive started and 500 Palestinians were instantly arrested. Israel has obviously termed these arrests to be those of Hamas activists and leaders, but then Israel renames every arrested or slain Palestinian to be a Hamas activist. Hamas is the Israeli scapegoat, but truth be told, Israeli forces martyred at least 6 innocent Palestinian citizens during these swift raids. Till last reports came in, Israel has bombed 750 Palestinian targets. In the latest strike, Israeli missiles wiped out an entire family of 8 including 3 children. Israel has killed around a thousand children since its occupation of Palestine, the survivors are marred by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

As usual, Israel blames Hamas for taking refuge in civilian areas and causing civilian casualties. Where is the United Nations now? When the peacekeepers start getting biased, matters need to be taken into one’s own hands. Fatah, the only political force recognized by Israel, has undoubtedly won 50 out of 84 council seats, but Hamas has held its stronghold in various large cities like Rafah. Large cities like Rafah have tens of thousands of voters and winning seats in such cities mean a lot of supporting voters. Hamas is loved at home, the Palestinians are proud of their freedom fighters. The Israelis want to quash Hamas, they want to silence the Palestinian uprising.

It is heartbreaking that many still support the Israeli action. Many would argue that Palestine is no nation and they are simply Arabs. Certainly the Israelis have certain “interests” in the Unites States or any other country, it is time to think not on the lines of religion or nationality. Compare the losses. How many have Israel lost? The Health Ministry of Ghaza states that 86 Palestinians have died and atleast 570 have been wounded. Only 2 Israeli soldiers have been wounded. Only 2.

Israel blames Hamas of firing hundreds of rockets into Israel, but Israel has its renowned “Iron Dome” defense system to take down the rockets, Palestinians are totally prone.
United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon has expressed this carnage in these words:
"Once again, Palestinians are caught in between Hamas's irresponsibility and Israel's tough response."
Dear Sir, it is time that the United Nations steps in and saves not the Hamas, but the innocent Palestinian citizens. This is no war, it’s a Massacre. A sequel of the Ghaza Massacre.

  6. What's even sadder is how governments of Muslim countries have also literally turned their back to Gaza as well.
(I repeat, governments. Poor representation of how their nations want to help Gaza)

  7. I think everyone is allowed to have their own view on this, and I'm not here to argue with this, so I will just comment on the part I agree with you about.

I think that it is very sad that citizens are the ones suffering, I do not think that is right. I agree with your last quote, but I also feel that both groups are trying to be the one to survive, and this is the outcome. I also feel that the UN should be taking more action.

I think it is important to respect what others believe, and I feel like the world needs more of this everywhere :)
